  • It's the old Court of Chiavari, retired for a few years for the unification with Genoa. It is a beautiful white-stone mansion, built in Tuscan Gothic style, which overlooks the central Piazza Mazzini (or market). Too bad it is not ancient, having been built in a medieval style, but in the late nineteenth century, and is not open to visitors. The only ancient part is the rear Tower, which dates back to the 16th century, being part of the ancient Citadel of Chiavari. A nice wrapper, somewhat fake then.

  • Beautiful and impressive, shame not to be entered, it was closed. Although I do not think it is open to the public there were times shown.

  • The piazza outside this beautiful building is where the local daily market is and so lovely to look around. You can look at the orchids, beautiful fresh flowers, fresh fruit, clothes, etc
