  • Both in summer and in winter, the old town is worth a visit. A meeting of old and new, between the major chains and some little shop that survives ...

  • The Centre of Chiavari is characterized by "Caruggi", starting from "straight alley" (via Martiri della Liberazione ") and its continuation Via Vittorio Veneto until a myriad of parallel and perpendicular. The middle ages is still clearly visible in the arcades, all in stone and with capitals and different conformations. The porches allow you to walk around even on a rainy day or too sunny, discovering shops, bars and restaurants (by newer more traditional ones such as craftsmen, fainotti, the ancient tripperia, etc). Handcrafted excellence are the Chiavari chairs and macramé. Visit the churches, the archaeological museum, palazzo Rocca with its Park, the museums of Diocesan and economic society (with visit to the Observatory meteorological and Seismic). For those staying a few days are a must aim to Portofino, at 5 Terre., to our hinterland and in Genoa. Nearby, the chiesa delle Grazie to Zoagli, the Basilica dei Fieschi in Cogorno and the Abbey of Borzone above Borzonasca.

  • Chiavari is the Ligurian town which has its old town built along orthogonal axes that still do not accept the system of town with terraced houses and low porches that make it especially its Center. Today it is very pleasant to walk under the arcades, which shelter even in wet weather. Looking up under the vaults you can see beautiful frescoes, marble capitals and coats of arms of the noble families of the city. In pattern of narrow streets and squares are boutiques, bars, restaurants with menus suitable for lunch. Notable 20th century signs which provide a vintage touch to the city. A city that deserves to be visited, for the historical, artistic, cultural, and commercial side, is the benchmark of at least three valleys that emerge all in Chiavari. Deserves a visit, also deserves a visit to know and 100 km's for desvio savour the culinary delights.
