  • A splendid witness of ancient Sicily between 700 and the end of the reign of the two Sicilies. Speechless for the atmosphere that you breathe, made of history to its former glory. To commend the current owners who bear the burden of keeping such a wonder, the indifference of the local authorities and tour operators. Not surprisingly, the Fegotto-that is not a simple villa, but it was a real contrada province-has been chosen several times as a film set and of fiction: is a true compendium of Sicily. Must see, fixing a flat.

  • This was one of a few wineries recommended by our friend, Giancarlo in Modica. He sure was right...it's an awesome winery! We opted for the salami and cheese platter to accompany the 5 wine tasting as...  more »
  • Beautiful 19th century historic residence that would be valued more, beyond the levees (where the problem are the heels on the pavement?!). The place is spectacular and lovingly and laboriously, preserved by the very kind and esteemed gentlemen D'avola, which would consider heroic for engagement that strived to protect this treasure not only artistic but also cultural-historical. Coming here you can read clearly in an era, the social history of yesteryear, the symbiotic relationship between nature and human intervention. Everything is pure and bright and it is thanks to constancy, wisdom and hard work of the men of yesterday and today's heroes. If possible, to visit!

  • Location small but very well kept. Food very good. A little hard to find, though not far from the highway, better to use the Navigator.
