  • Visited the town of Ceri under may travel in the region of Lazio. Church inside painted with frescoes XIIv. Initially, all of the Church was covered with frescoes. However, in the XVI century. It was partly destroyed by the Duke Valentino Borgia and part of frescos were lost. Now we see the result of restoration works carried out at the end of the last century. The subjects of the frescoes were taken from episodes of the old testament. Here and the creation of the world, men and women, the temptation of the serpent, the expulsion from the garden of Eden, Noah's Ark, Moses in the face of Pharaoh, the crossing of the Red Sea. For me they became full revelation; This kind of frescoes in Italy.

  • arrive at borgo di ceri is already a beautiful impression. Enter the sanctuary must be, a place that conveys peace and quiet. Whenever I'm in the area I pass.

  • The village with its Sanctuary are worth a visit or more than one! Small town with a quiet square, a few houses, some good restaurants and a church Marvellously frescoed and nicely landscaped and maintained. It seems to be out of time. A local family also produces small Etruscan inspired handcrafted jewelry with symbols of the village: la rocca, la madonnina. A nice souvenir to take with you!
