If you are logging in the courtyard of the castle is like if you lived the "before" and "after"; on the right you see the stone Ceglie messapica cleaned and bright; large rooms that echo of cultural life and social activity; the left part in dilapidated condition, the dirty stone and the obvious danger of collapse. By chance I happened years ago in that courtyard while, thanks to a regional initiative, it was possible to visit the usually closed to the public. Very interesting. Was the kitchen wing, of work, of accesses to the roof and the tower. Castles often only know the spaces of officiality, the halls of the Thrones and the dance floor. But petty's life, functional life lay elsewhere, in tight spaces, full of stairs, with few Windows. It is worth restoring these environments; bring them back to life you must first prevent it from getting lost forever a piece of Ceglie Ceglie messapica but also give back to the community a space capable of a thousand functions.

The castle is like ceglie Messapica: is original, recently rebuilt compared to other centres. Of course there is still work but recovery and the use to which they are doing are absolutely by applause.

A restoration and recovery that turned the castle into a hub of activity at the service of the community: very impressive the quality of city library spaces, with workstations and reading comfortable and easily accessible. Too bad that a part of the Castle, the oldest, the one that also includes the Norman Tower, is still privately owned and not restored nor accessible.

  • Lovely building (or series of buildings technically). Recently part of it has been turned into a public library, which also has some artwork on show. The staff there were really friendly and welcoming.
  • beautiful place to visit, for exhibitions and conferernze, perhaps missing a small eateries, but it held up well to cleaning and reception. congratulations we are above average (maybe you could visit all)

  • Impossible not to discern the outline of main tower that dominates the city's skyline. The Castle hosts environments for exhibitions, library, reading rooms. A place of great charm.
