  • We had little time and we focused on some works, particularly the portrait of unknown man by Antonello da Messina, about 1450, brilliant in ironic expression, meticulous in detail and especially marvelous light management! A masterpiece that deserves a visit.

  • I visited the Mandralisca Museum in July when it hosted, together with the enigmatic portrait of anonymous (which is part of the permanent collection), also announced, two famous as beautiful paintings of the painter Antonello Da Messina. Inside the Museum there are also paintings and archaeological finds from the collection of Baron Mandralisca worth seeing. So much culture at a good price.

  • Who complains about the price of the ticket should know that ticketing is the only form of sustenance of the Museum. The attendants are considered "volunteers" because they do not receive salary in months! Only love and attachment to these treasures are the spring that makes him stay ... Is a museum that was established by the bequest of a private, then his private collection with this in mind, extraordinary. Extraordinary are also sections such as malacology is the most numerous of Europe! The fauna with dozens of stuffed animals is extensive and well documented. The pinacoteca is King, of course, unknown portrait of Antonello da Messina. Opera that alone would merit a Museum! But to frame there are beautiful and interesting works, San Giovanni di Sogliani, Florentine painter Raphael school; a tempera on canvas from the 1500 carried with Christ ascends into heaven; a crucifixion of 1400 beautiful with Madonna and Saint John of the German school and finally we report "Vanitas" by Angelo Caroselli, a fine table! In the archaeology section dominates the crater of "tuna" seller, noteworthy museums titled, but also Greek votive figurines and masks of the "bottle" curious and well made. Besides all this you will find furniture, furniture, numismatics and Roman mosaics. How to lose this visit? Taking into account that the region has cut off all sustenance maybe with the sole purpose of bringing everything in Palermo? Maybe to finish in a deposit! The ticket price is worth the visit and the time will not be lost. Manuela and Alessandro Gori

  • Cefalu is a lovely place for nature and beautiful scenery lovers. However, if you are looking for helpful and good customer service - don't go there!! People are rude and the customer service is awful!! Was really upset about it.
  • Ok
  • Impressive Olive Press
  • Very nice art collection including paintings, objects of everyday life, and beautiful archaeological pieces. Unfortunately was the painting by Antonio di Messina grad at the G7 Summit in Taormina...

  • The real piece of the collection is a portrait of Antonello da Messina, therefore very valuable bills. The rest of the items on display range from shells to carved wooden furniture, all illustrated by available employees of the Museum. Too bad the ticket is expensive
