  • An unexpected Castle in a small and isolated country. My wife and I have seen only from the outside and enjoyed it even though all the context there seemed a little sad. You should review when you can also visit inside.

  • Among the most beautiful Chateaux lombardi and certainly the most beautiful of Bergamo, place rich in history, wonderful frescoes, starting with those by Girolamo Romanino, and ancient atmosphere. The guides accompanying the visit are highly qualified and passionate about what they tell and the context lends itself perfectly to step back by 600 years in the history of the Po Valley and rural courts of power games and taste for artistic beauty, which are one of the cultural characteristics of this area. Nice wide context of farmhouses which surround the architecture well preserved, but who needs care, even expensive. In short, a place not to be missed for surprise, richness and beauty. Hyper-strategic recommended!

  • We visited, with a group of friends, the Malpaga Castle, one of the two castles in the area of Cavernago (Bergamo). The visit was interesting, though it seemed a little pricey entry ticket. The guide was courteous and prepared while we were moving between the rooms, he told many anecdotes related to the Castle and the Colleoni Family. There we find frescoes and objects ranging from 1400 to 1600. The castle can be visited from March to November, I took the information about dates and hours of operation which I transcribe: Saturday from 14.00 to 18.00 and Sundays from 10.00 to 14.00 and audio tour. Sunday at 15.00, 16.00 and 17.00 guided tours. No reservation is necessary.

  • Bellissimo castello, molto particolare e recentemente ristrutturato
  • A well preserved Castle the talented guides help to know in detail the history, architecture and art. A little gem a few kilometers from Milan and very few from Bergamo, which deserves to be better known.

  • Very impressive, practice the virtual guide through downloadable apps using Wi-Fi provided by Castle on their smartphone or provided by special phones equipped with headphones on loan (included in entry price only released with legacy identification returned at the end of the visit) with the app already installed and ready to use. Not having problems of time you get a chance to look into peaceful and unhurried tot the various rooms and various frescoes (unfortunately some very damaged or almost faded). Entry price is not excessive, indeed!

  • This abode of the great leader bergamasco Colleoni is worth a visit to admire the interiors and frescoes depicting the visit to the castle of the King of Denmark Christian I ascribed to Romanino. Open only on weekends with guided tour.
