  • This castle belongs to the Gonzaga family, was originally built as a summer residence by Bartolomeo Colleoni. White during the day that organizes the municipality of Cavernago you have the possibility of being able to visit accompanied by Prince who is the owner. There are areas that are not accessible as private. You also have the option of renting this beautiful facility for weddings.

  • As titled, the castle of Cavernago is a treasure for the territory of Bergamo and beyond; a jewel that deserves to be kept and preserved for future generations, as proof of constructive excellence achieved already in past centuries. A project to safeguard which must necessarily involve the private sector, then when the public does not have sufficient resources or often ignores the existing architectural heritage. In addition to the Castle, an alert must be given also to the whole of the rural area which surrounds the same; silent places that evoke a past unfortunately forgot it too often criticized for living conditions of peasant families enslaved. The wide open spaces of the belt built, fit perfectly in the countryside of Bergamo, and represent a constructive exemplary awareness that modern architects don't know emulate.

  • Beautiful wedding venues. The only flaw, if it rains you are indoors, but under the arcades (though protected by a sliding plastic)

  • Very nice, although the public openings are rare. The path is rather short, especially because of the few renovated rooms. The guide is actually the one who for years dealing with the Castle, with anecdotes and stories to tell about. Recently, renovations were allowed to access one of the towers, from where you can splurge with life on the Plains, on the Church and on the surrounding inhabited area (and, unfortunately, even out of ugliness as Hwy). The castle is also a location used for weddings. For several years in early September will open to the public in conjunction with the nearby Malpaga Castle: the two castles are connected by a small train.

  • Romantic and lovely, evocative atmosphere on a Midsummer night. Ideal for summer weddings.
