  • In September, on the feast of the village of Cavernago: Caverpaga (the Festival of the two castles) the castle is open to the public who can make guided tours in groups of 25/30 people, courtesy of the family owned the Castle. The guide is an exception: Prince Gonzaga. The castle in fact belongs to him. Drove us to visit the lodges, some salt, la torre telling us the history of the place, enriching it with details about his family, the change of use of some rooms over the years and restored that were executed. Today is a historic mansion that hosts concerts, banquets and similar events. The proceeds of such activities is reinvested by the family in the maintenance and improvement of the structure. Da consigliare!!

  • This castle belongs to the Gonzaga family, was originally built as a summer residence by Bartolomeo Colleoni. White during the day that organizes the municipality of Cavernago you have the possibility of being able to visit accompanied by Prince who is the owner. There are areas that are not accessible as private. You also have the option of renting this beautiful facility for weddings.

  • Beautiful wedding venues. The only flaw, if it rains you are indoors, but under the arcades (though protected by a sliding plastic)

  • Very nice, although the public openings are rare. The path is rather short, especially because of the few renovated rooms. The guide is actually the one who for years dealing with the Castle, with anecdotes and stories to tell about. Recently, renovations were allowed to access one of the towers, from where you can splurge with life on the Plains, on the Church and on the surrounding inhabited area (and, unfortunately, even out of ugliness as Hwy). The castle is also a location used for weddings. For several years in early September will open to the public in conjunction with the nearby Malpaga Castle: the two castles are connected by a small train.
