  • I knew this village for many years ... have come back now gives me the proof of how much this city has worked to enhance this corner of the city and local life ... everywhere ... at night elated ...

  • I love the daytime version of the borgo scacciaventi, with arcades, shops, small shops and a few places. In recent years a reckless administration turned it into a place a little too lived in the evening/night, with locals that give off bad smells of junk foods uncontrollably and wild nightlife and infima extraction. A great pity, any chance of making culture is always wasted.

  • Today, for those who come to visit Bombay, the walk on the course with the famous arcades is a must, watching the Windows of many shops and boutiques which open along the way. Walkers between the arcades offer a particular atmosphere, between antiquity and modernity. Moving on towards Salerno, proceeding on the course, you come off rallies, where you can admire the beautiful and stunning baroque architectures John's pre-and the Church of the Purgatory, erected by the artists, fecenti part of the homonymous archconfraternities founded in 1596. After the Church of purgatory, begins the real Borgo Scacciaventi, and here to note the ancient buildings with carved stone portals and with the courts with aragonese architectural style. It was named this because one of the first families who lived here was that of Scacciaventi, while popular tradition calls it so its sinusoidal he did knock down the winds coming from the North. Under the arcades of the 1300 whose "pillars" that support them are all different, is lined with shops, craft shops and small restaurants and taverns with the tables located under the arcades for a tasting experience out of the ordinary. At the end of the Borgo Scacciaventi opens the luminous Piazza s. Francesco with the sixteenth-century Church of Madonna dell'olmo, along with the sanctuary and the convent of St. Francis ... It is certainly worth to pay a visit to this ancient village especially at night when the old lamps give a magic atmosphere.
