  • To visit don't miss thrilling. We saw turtles nest and many birds ...

  • Immaculately maintained nature reserve surrounded by Mediterranean accessed-through easy paths-to a long public beach and the mouth of the river Platani. Dirt bins everywhere and interesting information panels about the wildlife and flora of the area. Free parking at the entrance. Just a few minutes drive away from Heraclea Minoa. Nature, sea, peace, relaxation ... We hope to remain so! P.s. Met some naturists

  • Finally a beautiful natural place, where crossing a shady forest of pinus halepensis, very clean, there is a very long beach, just as clean and without any infrastructure, where you can walk to the mouth of the river Platani, cross it and reach the chalky white cliffs of Eraclea Minoa. The place is worth a visit to Sicily.

  • Very pleasant for a walk along the beach on through the dunes, but the vegetation is largely overgrown with invasive aliens (Australian Acacias), so rather sappointing as a Nature Reserve.
  • Landmark for gay tourism in the area. Unfortunately this is not accompanied by locals or gay friendly evenings in the area. He is also one of the few places with Torre Salsa dune microenvironment, where it remains almost disappeared because of post-war building development. Great for long walks.

  • Wonderful destination: a place that for many years has given me a sense of peace and relaxation for the beauty of the Mediterranean and the sea. Ideal for long walks or to spend a day with family or friends. Do not recommend to take kids beyond the mouth due to the presence of Exhibitionists. The only flaw: too much trash on the beach!

  • Uncontaminated place ... where the sea heaven and earth come together in symbiosis and harmony ... until the man arrives

  • Beautiful location, some long way by foot but worth it all.
