  • I never thought I'd say this, having regard to the seriousness demonstrated by management Rocco Guglielmo. Yet today, coming back after some time visiting the Museum I found no news: now if you want to visit three floors you have to pay three tickets (for a total of 8 euros, complete tour). No reductions for faculty and no Convention with the teacher's card, only reductions for students, military, inputs with students and practitioners in the field of fine arts academies (free entrance for the last three I think), but unfortunately today aren't the only ones to implement this policy. Then my girlfriend and I (both teachers, interested in bringing students of our schools) we decide to visit the area dedicated to the permanent exhibition, which already knew, to plan routes. And here's the saddest surprise: almost half of the works are in the dark, because "the spotlights were electrocuted." It's like going to the movies, buy a ticket and see the movie with the sound off because the speakers don't work ... right? I hope this is just a transition period ... and that the Brand back to regain possession of the style that until not long ago set him apart.

  • Probably the importance and the name it is proposed with great fanfare does not correspond to a real value. If you don't have anything else to do a spin you can fare....ma unpretentious!

  • A gorgeous and well renovated building houses this museum which is spread over three floors. On the ground floor there are many works of Cefaly and other antique authors (even there is a Mattia Preti). On the upper floor and the bottom edge are hosted temporary exhibitions. Too bad it's not very crowded, I went with a friend on the occasion of international women's day and despite free entry at the end of the evening were counted only six visitors.

  • A museum you don't expect in a southern town. Beautiful discovery exhibition Stabat Mater by Tommaso Ottieri. A praise deserves the Fondazione Rocco Guglielmo, an example of philanthropy and love for the city and for every artistic expression. Evenings with the theater of Calabria by Luigi Larosa are among the events not to be missed. (BC)
