  • Very interesting visit conducted by dedicated staff. This is the secret to love our treasures.

  • This monastery is worth to be visited at least in part open to the public. It is the seat of the University therefore all classrooms and the rooms are not available but the "public" part is really interesting. Periodically thanks to some Association organize visits and you can access the basement, the kitchen and other places not otherwise visit: these tours are done at night making everything much more impressive!

  • 5 stars for the visit to the terrace. Incredible views even in winter!
  • Incredible :) We stopped in with an hour to kill and we were absolutely blown away. Carmella our guide spoke very good english and is very knowledgeable in the history of the monastery and shown himself to be very comfortable in answering a wide range of questions (not all about the monastery) The monastery itself is simply stunning and a whilst you can wander round most of the site you really need a guide to explain the story behind each and every part and in our case so eloquently done It's 7 euro's for the tour and takes about an hour or so but trust me, if you like history and enjoy exploring historic sites then if you are in the area this is simply a must and you won't be disappointed
  • Definitely a place to visit if you are a tourist in Catania (and if you live here and have not been here before). It has been massively restored. It's a treasure of architecture and history.
  • Monumental church. The facade is one of the trademarks of the city. If you can, take a walk on the roof for some city sight seeing.
  • One of the must see place in catania
