  • Waiting for the flight back to Milan after a business trip, I stopped at this corner of cannoli. The idea was to take away just one for my wife, but then were so beautiful that I was carrying and I got 4 in pretty packaging. Different flavors: chocolate, cream, ricotta, cottage cheese and almonds. One more good than the other, ricotta is the utmost pleasure. So good that we promised to pay a visit to "Grandmother Vincenza" here in Milan, in hopes that the Northern peaks these sweet masterpieces don't leak.

  • Waiting to catch my next flight ... yet I'm drawn to some laughter exchanged between customers of Grandmother Vincenza ... by ... and kindness that welcomes me makes me feel like I'm entering a place where I always passed. A arancino (or arancina) ... water ... and away ... Be back! ;-)

  • I'm really sorry to have to write a negative review on a pastry which I think makes the best pastries and cassata, causing me chagrin, though I'm beginning to think that when you're too top maybe you flaw of superficiality and I are obviously been caught in a moment of divine infallibility confectioners. My husband is allergic to chocolate. And we are commuters between Torino and Catania. Several times I had to take some things in the store at departures only for me, but never for my husband because of the chocolate chips. Then the jobs very courteous, I was advised to book by phone so you have something without drops. So I did. I called and booked a cassata without chocolate chips for a birthday. I got to the airport, I went to sincerami if they had my cassata without chocolate and I went to pick it up. The next day at lunch, birthday candles, turn off all happy ... And to cut the cake we surprise! The chocolate chips! The cassata was delicious but my husband could not eat it. I immediately phoned the store where the clerk was obviously displeased, she took my phone number and told me that I would know how and why this happened, but obviously I wasn't ever invoked. I close with a simple thought: my husband is intolerant and non-allergic, but feels terrible if eating chocolate, and luckily he is always careful and check. And if you hadn't noticed the drops? If he was allergic and had eaten? I'm sorry, but is incorrect. I'm very disappointed and obviously despite the goodness of sweets, I would say that Grandmother Vincenza is unreliable, both for the drops, it can happen, but also for "teasing" of "I will mention his number and recall", and then any calls. And if a call arrives after this review, obviously it doesn't change my opinion, because the episode to which I refer back to 5 January.

  • Excellent gelato, maybe the best in town, especially dark chocolate and hazelnut. Other gelaterias pale in comparison. Nice homemade almond milk. Very friendy and kind servers.
  • Hands down, the finest cannoli I've ever had. Filled with Pistachio Creme, chocolate lined pastry... It was... Perfect. Extraordinarily crisp shell, bitter chocolate, not too sweet filling. It was... Sublime.
  • A wonderful patisserie, they also have a shop at Catania Airport.
  • This place has a huge variety of authentic Italian pastries, ranging from gelato-filled brioche, raviola alla ricotta, cannoli, and so many other filled and/or fried deliciousnesses. You must stop in for a treat! It is so worth it.
  • Probably the best almond cookies in Sicily. Whenever I visit Catania I always leave with several kilograms as gifts. They now have a shop at the Catania airport as well but this is the original location.
