  • If you want to/can happen only in conjunction with the Church of the Holy Spirit – the three Agatalle in Catania, then this is a good choice. Except for the Agatan interesting person in history, the history of the Franciscan monastery in the Church to explore and funeral practices.

  • Arrived here, but not before visiting the Church of SAN BIAGIO, in Piazza Stesicoro, which the Locals call "' a Carcaredda" (means in dialect, small furnace and is located in the small chapel on the right), because it is said that the patroness of Catania, Sant'Agata, was here laid over hot coals, I recommend to visit the places that give the exact size of the cemetery that buries the Catania from previous centuries.

  • The ancient Cathedral lost charm. The front is reduced to parking. For some time there are signs that tell the story of the building, but remains completely ... devoid of soul, because there are never faithful. A church without souls cannot, not trying and not visit even for the historical importance or for artistic merit.

  • It's probably the first church dedicated ti Saint Agatha. The interior hosts several noticeable artworks.
  • The sacred building, dates back to the year 264 ad, and this is the first temple dedicated to the patroness of Catania.
