  • This benediktiiniluostarin the Baroque church is not open every day. We lived very close to the Crociferi Street and by chance we found this item that is part of the UNITED NATIONS as a world heritage site to be open. For me, the absolute number one, ride the attractions of paintings were enchanting!

  • Back to Catania for the presentation of my latest book to the Monastore of the Benedictine monastery, well run by Cultural Workshops, don't lose the opportunity to visit the Church of San Benedetto in the beautiful via dei Crociferi dotted with other churches. The visit is possible because, once again, to Cultural Workshops. An audio guide very well done encourages a visit. You cross a compartment where you can see the remains of a Roman domus, you climb the stairs, you enter the parlour, in the room from which the nuns could attend religious ceremonies, and finally, after the staircase with the angels, in the beautiful church, with the extraordinary frescoes of Tuccari, with scenes of the life, death and Ascension to heaven of Saint Benedict , a set of colors, light, images, Kingdom of the late Sicilian baroque. An incredible place not to be missed.

  • Catania is a Roman Catholic Church, built in the 18th century. It is located in via dei Crociferi Round Spa and health district, where it was built between 1704 and 1713, and was dedicated to Saint Benedict of Nursia.
