  • This beautiful baroque church is very close to Piazza Duomo. The entrance to the Abbey is free, to climb the Dome you have to pay € 3.00. After a brief description of the Church by the ticket-seller, we made 190 steps to enjoy the panorama of the city don background on Cathedral square and Mount Etna.

  • The Chiesa della Badia di Sant'Agata, is located close to Piazza Duomo, in the heart of the city. It is one of the architectural masterpieces of the famous architect g. b. V, built in the 18th century, after the devastating earthquake. The Interior is equally impressive, definitely must climb the dome of the Church, where the view over the city, enchants

  • You can enjoy a spectacular view of the city of Catania. I would recommend a little effort for a unique experience.

  • A very small church, which interior is round without poles. Dome climbing costs 2 euro, but it is a must. You can view Mt Etna, the whole city and the port with navy aircraft carrier from it.
  • Beautiful church, not like the others in Catania. A walk on the roof is mandatory, despite the stairs.
  • Very nice.
  • Artwork of Giovan Battista Vaccarini, made from 1735 to 1767. The Church is surmounted by a large and beautiful dome on a drum octagonal Prism.

  • Beautiful church. But even nicer is the view that can be admired from the top of the dome. You have to climb many steps and go for tall and narrow environments, not recommended for those who suffer from claustrophobia. For the rest I would highly recommend getting and enjoying the view, you see all over Catania and Mount Etna.
