  • Really controversial judgment to be given to this attraction. The House we discovered quite by accident, the only indication is placed just at the junction of via Garibaldi, the Palace looks impressive but decayed and required a restoration, staff (well 3 people) that serves only as custodian and to cash the ticket (4 euros, overpriced for the service), to the audioguide € 4 more ... Many first editions of the works, the original, the original library bed father of verismo, but not even a note scribbled by himself! There are also the original clothes of the writer, but propped up on a hanger so, how should they be worn at any moment; without so much as a protection against dust. Too bad, could be a gem and instead ...

  • the casa Museo Verga would be a perfect location for tourists, since is located near Duomo square and a few steps from the ancient theatre/Odeon but there is adequate signage indicating the place and the entrance is really run down with one destruction visible for all to see with the electrical systems of the building completely.

  • I was walking the streets of Catania and I came across this House-Museum. It is well preserved, the ticket to enter costs a few euros and it is interesting to browse through the books of the cane. The only flaw is that it's not very valued, there isn't even a sign that indicate. Could have more fame.

  • Although not a milestone in Catania, expresses well the style that Rod has maintained throughout his life.
