Where to stay in Catania

Experience the charms of Sicily at your own pace by booking your stay at a private cottage or luxury villa in Catania. Family-owned cottages offer easy access to some of Sicily's finest beaches, while Catania's self-catering villas often feature sprawling yards and private swimming pools. To experience Sicilian nature and authentic way of life, consider staying at a working farm just outside Catania's city limits. A low-cost alternative, farms and B&Bs spread around the countryside offer comfortable rooms and excellent local food, just a short drive from the busy city center.

  • Lack of 'touristic' aesthetics, so lack of one star. Not well maintained. But fascinating stuff right in the middle of the city!
  • As usual, neglected, ignored and unknown. However, fine and with a modicum of knowledge and interest and it is very interesting. *update* With the installation of some explanatory panels, this gets another star.
  • Interesting because it is in the middle of a square in Catania so the overall view is worth to see but not one of the nicest examples of roman theater in Italy
  • There's not much left, but it's so nice to find these Roman remains in the middle of the city centre.
  • Good place to see. Free entrance.
