  • I visited yesterday, the castle of Castiglione di Sicilia and loved even before entering for its walls erected on high rocks, amazing scenery from the Etna and reaches the Peloritani and eventually to the magical sunset that I observed on the Alcantara Valley. Inside the Castle keeps very little of the original building, we find only a Groove that perhaps was once the apse of a church, some bow and then, by going to the main building, apart from the mullioned Windows, there is nothing that brings back in time. In fact, the castle was used to host exhibitions and events related to wine, of which the country is renowned for producing; Therefore the furniture is modern and clashes with the medieval context. Free admission with the local boys that will serve as a guide to the necessary explanations.
