  • In September we visited the natural baths Sa-Filippo, which are near the town of Castiglione in Val d'Orcia. Thermal River, gradually going down everything somewhere below turning into small waterfalls, forms numerous small lakes-swimming pools with hot water. In some Lakes the water is very hot, zalezaesh' it, as in a hot bath in the most upper-more cold. It follows from this that there are several thermal baths. Water is healing, not only because of its temperature, but also due to the chemical composition that includes sulfur, calcium and magnesium. A small smell of sulfur present. And thanks to calcium, which has been delayed for centuries, we can admire the quaint White Mountains ... Enjoy baths can all year, completely free of charge.

  • I was super excited to visit this place when we visited Tuscany, and have not regretted it! Doesn't sound like much to foreign tourist, but seems to be a very popular attraction among the Italians. I was pretty full in June, but still has to go in, take a shower and have some fun. The place is very different, and the water has a sulfuric odor. It is interesting! It is worth visiting.

  • This is a strictly outdoor term with beautiful waterfalls, pools and places to lounge. It's a bit of a walk down to the term from the hotel and I wouldn't recommend it for the handicapped. Great exper...  more »

  • Beautiful place. We were on a weekday in late August and while a lot of people were there (we had to park before we entered the village), it was still large enough so everyone could find his own pool. Might get really full on weekends, so a weekday is probably a better choice. The waters a running down through a wood from Fosso Bianco towards Cascada della Balena. Water seemed to be a bit low, there's probably more in spring and early summer. We found a pool about halfway and it was nice and warm, a delight to stay in for hours. The smell is bad at the beginning, but it was easy to get used to and as it's outdoors it doesn't get oppressing. A warning: it's free, which means no facilities of any kind and the climb up and down isn't in the best possible condition. The first part until Fosso Bianco had a good path, should be handicapped and stroller accessible (there are bathing places at that point), but not the rest.
  • Very nice natural termal baths. it is a must to visit if you are in the surroundings.
  • Fun spot. Go on weekdays to avoid crowds
  • Acque fantastiche!
