  • Climb the fortress is always exciting. From up there you can see a 360 degrees all the fantastic Val d'Orcia. A unique place!

  • With a ticket for 3 € you access this rock that is part of the old village of Rocca d'Orcia, adjacent to the beautiful village of Castiglione who I highly recommend visiting. Through a steep but short staircase leads to the top of the fortress from which you can enjoy a beautiful view of the val d'Orcia, Pienza Val d'Orcia below, from the Amiata in Bagno Vignoni. Want to spend hours admiring the landscape, which ranges really far. Price I would say small to everything, although very little remains of the old fortress.

  • Obligatory stop if you are in Val d'Orcia is the rock adjacent to Castiglione d'Orcia (very nice). With a ticket almost three euros symbolic climb up on top of the tower you can enjoy the 360° panorama and of the Valley and the Tuscan countryside with its rolling hills. Especially coming in Tuscany from afar and pass by there, I repeat, is a must ...
