  • It is a church in the Romanesque architectural style; is a fine example of Benedictine art. The original church, built by Ludwig II, dates back to the 9th century. We see today, restored in stages, the Romanesque church of the 13th century. The last restoration dates back to 2009; It was necessary to repair the damage of the earthquake. Tradition has it that it cherishes, a mini sarcophagus beside the altar, the relics of Saint Clement. The recent restoration has brought to light the Romanesque church of the 13th century. in its simplest forms. Outstanding are the portals of entry with their friezes and sculptures. It's a church with three naves separated by great pillars. The furnishings are works of art: an Ambo is rich in plant elements representatives friezes; a candelabra placed above a column of granite; a Roman sarcophagus with functions of altar. The silence which surrounded the Church and the Majesty of the environment very close, even for those who do not have a deep faith, the divine mystery. Mario.
