  • Benedictine Abbey founded by an ex-voto from Emperor Louis second is one of the greatest examples of medieval religious architecture in Central and southern Italy was also thanks to the intervention of Gabriele D'Annunzio, who the Church was declared a national monument. With the restoration work done after the earthquake of 2009 the Abbey is very well preserved and very well restored. The restoration also included a local who now serves as a small museum with exhibits that were outside in the elements. Important is to watch the portal depicting the legend of the translation. Inside on the bottom can also be accessed to a crypt.

  • Absolutely fantastic. I just got back from abruzzo and I didn't think it was so beautiful. San Clemente is a gem. A building of the year 800. Beautiful. Notable pulpit ciborium and Paschal candle. Beautiful inlays

  • A lovely gem stone, beautiful outside and gorgeous inside. Unfortunately it is not always open, you need to get information on opening hours for not making a wasted trip. To visit.
