Trip Planner: Europe / Italy / Veneto / Province of Verona / Castelnuovo del Garda / Gardaland SEA LIFE Aquarium
Visit the sea life at Gardaland SEA LIFE Aquarium, which hosts thousands of fresh- and saltwater creatures in 40 different reconstructed habitats. Walk through a transparent ocean tunnel, as sharks and stingrays glide overhead. Take the guided tour to learn more about sharks, seahorse life cycles, and much more. Pet a starfish and touch shark eggs in the interactive tanks, and top off your visit with a documentary screening. There's also a restaurant on site, as well as a playground and game area for kids. For travelers who use our online itinerary creator, Castelnuovo del Garda holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Gardaland SEA LIFE Aquarium and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

Some tanks are light years away from new methods of management of wildlife that is forced in containers too cramped; Many also have a convex exterior that increases the size of the fish to make them more visible but without giving references to the observer of the real size. Interactivity proposal is of poor quality and reserved only for children, cutting out a large portion of the visitors. An experience to behold and not repeat.

Un buco nell'acqua mi ha propio deluso questo posto forse perché c'era troppa gente quasi non si respirava troppo piccolo a mio avviso non ci tornerò più!! more »A hole in the water I was just disapointed this place maybe because there were too many people hardly breathed too small in my opinion do not stay here again!!

Poche vasche, nessuna spiegazione o laboratorio per bimbi, alcune vasche chiuse. Piccolo, pochi servizi, mal tenuto, spero che lo migliorino. more »A few tanks, no explanation or workshop for children, some closed basins. Small, very overgrown, hopefully they will improve.
Nearly no live plants. Plastick plants everyshere. Even our small aquarium in Tampere Finnland has a way more professional approach to maintaining a healthy symbiotick enviroment for their fish. Boring water landscapes, the same plastick plants everywhere. A real dissapointment. Even the corals are face....
Really not very good but if it's free then go for it. Expect to be finished in 40minutes.
Nothing special, staff unfriendly and quite expensive. Avoid restaurant at ALL costs (expensive and awful food).
Enjoyable enough place to go, but felt like I was being rinsed for cash at every turn. Turned up and was charged €3 just to park. We booked online but couldn't print the tickets, so were charged €1 per ticket to print them when we arrived (why not scan the codes off my phone!?). Then of course you're sent through the shop on the way out into their restaurant ("BUY OUR STUFF!"), where of course you can only consume their overpriced, poor quality junk food, then they charged 20c for each sachet of condiment! We already paid €12.50 each just to get in! So overall, felt a bit cheated. Also felt sad for the conger eel at the start as it had too small a tank for such a big fish.
Small comapred to other aquariums with small variety of sea animals. Can't go inside with baby stroller, which is a big minus considering that one third of visitors come here with small kids. Price of €16 is not a lot for aquarium, but for what you get here is too expensive.

Where to stay in Castelnuovo del Garda
Experience the best of what Castelnuovo del Garda has to offer by booking your stay at a hotel near the region's famous sea life aquarium, the site of one of Europe's most popular theme parks. To avoid the crowds and relax in a quieter setting, explore the self-catering apartments located in areas farther away from the main tourist-driven areas. Private apartments offer the comforts of home, for a fraction of the price charged by the big chain hotels.
