#13 of 14 in Wineries in Castellina In Chianti
The Villa Trasqua Estate covers an area of 120 hectares in the heart of Tuscany, of which 56 hectares are vineyard within the Chianti Classico, that territory between the cities of Florence and Siena where the DOCG wine that bears the symbol of the Black Rooster is protagonist. Love, enthusiasm and passion are the driving forces that bring ever-growing harmony between vineyard and cellar, resulting in an ideal range of Chianti Classico DOCG and IGT wines.

  • Amazing Wineyard with a stunning view over the landscape. You can enjoy a wine tasting or just a bottle of their really good wines (one of the best rosés I ever had) in their small garden while overlooking the wine fields and hills. When in Tuscany, you should make sure to go there! Definitely worth a visit!!
  • Amazing! Make sure to stop here if you are in the area. Excellent winery in scenic setting. We did a wine tasting with lovely Lauretta, our welcoming host. Great Chianti and other Tuscan wines. The olive oil is very tasty as well!
  • We took the tour in the winery. The tour was very informative and interesting. The food and wine were great and our guide, Lauretta, were amazing. Highly recommended!
  • Wonderful winery in the Chianti Classico wine region, few km away from the 13th century castle of Monteriggioni and the 12th century monastery of Badia Isola. Don’t miss the opportunity to taste their supertuscan Trasgaia and their several types of Chianti Classico. Ask their nice and informative wine expert Lauretta for a guided tour of the cellar!
  • Great experience. Our host was very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. There is a splendid tour of the winery, where you can learn about the whole process of winemaking. The wine tasting experience is very nice - there is a selection of delicious wines along with cheese and salami.
