Highlight your Tuscan tour with a stop at Azienda Agricola Casamonti, an elegant estate offering daily tours and wine tastings. In an area that served as a major agricultural center since Etruscan times, the estate now features 5 hectares (12 acres) of olive groves and over 3 hectares (7 acres) of vineyards. In an effort to diversify its production, in the recent years the estate started breeding a rare type of Tuscan pigs, an endangered species native to this part of the country. After your tour, you can purchase some ham, sausages, bacon, or extra virgin olive oil, all produced on site. To take part in a tasting session, call or e-mail the estate in advance. With our international travel planner, Castellina In Chianti attractions like Azienda Agricola Casamonti can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.
