  • Impressive the facade of this Romanesque church, very beautiful the inner cloister that always retains a special charm

  • Ancient Romanesque church, it seems to be back to the 7th century. D.C. Preserved well is situated between the Viscounty Rock and the Palace of The Podesta. It contains 3 chapels, one dedicated to St. Joseph of 1600; one dedicated to St. Catherine of the early '400s and the last containing a stone bathtub from the 8th century. Dc. The college includes the bell tower, the cloister and other buildings, now also a Museum. Absolutely to visit like the whole village.

  • Fascinating from both the outside and the inside, especially the side chapels. The cloister is unfortunately closed on weekdays.

  • It Is really worth entering to admire this pfantastical church dating back to 1122. The interior is very simple and austere if not for a beautifully frescoed side cap. The entrance to the church is free while lighting the lights to illuminate the nave or the frescoes of the chapel costs only €0.50. A small contribution to help the preservation of a beautiful monument!

  • It's a little gem. Spend half a day.

  • If you could see something... Lights off that do not allow you to enjoy the interior. It Is possible to turn on, for about 1 minute, those of a lateral zone and the central nave paying 50 cents. This solution has bothered me a lot

  • The collegiate (also known as the Church of St. Mary), the Palace of the Podestà (right in front of the collegiate) and the Rocca Viscontea are the 3 jewels of Castell'Arquato; The church is located in the medieval village, in Piazza del Municipio, which unfortunately is defaced by too many parked cars; The present collegiate church was completed in 1122, and the interior was restored in 900; Enter 5 photos of the Palazzo del Podestà.

  • This magnificent church has certainly affected us; First of all, as an integral part of the beautiful village of Castell'Arquato, but also for some peculiarities. In a particular way, I refer to a side section of the structure with a Baroque style that contrasts in a clear way with the most sober lines of the rest of the building. Also, I saw that at the nearby courtyard there is a museum that however we were unable to visit for time matters. It is undoubtedly Worth a more thorough visit, like the whole village in general, on the other hand.
