  • We visited the church in Bft 9 winds. Nice museum in church area. Much bigger than we thought it would be.  more »
  • My wife and I visited Castelbueno inland from Cefalú during a two-week vacation in Sicily. Although the town has little of great interest, the drive up through the mountains from Cefalú makes it worth...  more »
  • Old little town, narrow streets, nice to wander around. More than enough nice places to have a coffee, a pastry or a wine. We liked the relaxed atmosphere, we definitely want to come back.  more »

  • I had high hopes for this castle, but they were not met. Most of the story of the castle has been erased from it, and this can be seen once you enter. On the outside everything you will have the perfect view.
  • This civil museum is located in a small town. It has both paintings, photographs and artifacts in it. The view of the town from the museum is amazing
  • Beautiful church and square in front..
  • The Castle despite several centuries it seems as it was then was built in 1317 by count Francesco I Ventimiglia, 1997 have surfaced after the restoration of the structures of a previous building. Within the halls and cassessettoni ceilings are lavishly decorated. The town of Castelbuono has become the seat of the Civic Museum, the view from the top is spectacular. We must reflect as such impressive architectural structures were built in the past with cutting-edge techniques, having no computer to process all this data but written totally by hand. The Castle has withstood attacks over the centuries because Castelbuonesi have been careful over the years not to abandon the castle to carelessness, the Chapel is kept inside the relic of Saint Anne, the patron saint of the village.

  • The castle is a surprise for those who come into town. Rich contemporary painters, donations still shows interesting places. Kept discreetly, restored over the centuries, presents an interesting Church decorated by brothers Serpotta. Great guides, available, prepared very patient. The museum owns a bookshop.
