  • An interesting cemetery in a location with stunning views of the abbey. There is a very interesting visitor centre and the lady there was most helpful.
  • Walking to the cemetary is a moving experience. There is a small museum, that is relatively new, with information (in English as well) about the history of the polish in WW II. For those who are relat...  more »

  • Never knew how much the Polish gave in WW11
  • Respect our Polish Heroes.
  • To visit as a staging post for the study and the discovery of history linked to the battle of Cassino in World War II. Stop absolutely to the Memorial (at the entrance to the cemetery on the left) and ask you to tell the story of this unfortunate Polish Division who fought here.

  • The Polish Cemetery is entrusted to the custody of the monks of Montecassino and houses the mortal remains of 1,052 soldiers of Polish Army Corps, including 11 of General Anders chaplain and Archbishop of Gawlina, 1970 and deaths here buried to their expressed will. It's a place I would say charming interiors and inside the Hall to the left of the entrance, where they collected writings, videos and pictures; testimonies of the war, a Polish Lady, describes the history of these soldiers, mostly peasants, who broke through the line of Division that the Germans had made the center Italy. Bankrupt undertaking by the allies. A touching story and suffering but helps us to understand how dear the freedom that today we all enjoy. Absolutely worth visiting.

  • Come into this place after closing time at sunset on your own and with a light rain whisked in that time, to know that under each of those crosses there is a Polish boy who gave his life for our freedom we excited me very much. It is a place worth visiting just to remember where we came from ....
