  • You have to prepare themselves spiritually in this way along the stations of the cross. The stations are distributed to the top of the rock where there is the statue of the Saint. It is a pilgrimage that many devotees are barefoot, asking to Saint Rita to intercede with the Lord. Often the Lord bestows his grace through the intercession of Mary and of St. Rita.

  • Cascia is a beautiful, small village and to have the opportunity to see Saint Rita was amazing. I got the bus from Rome Tibutina that leaves at 7:30 ( or at least it was supposed to.... the bus turned...  more »
  • Lo scoglio di Santa Rita is a fascinating place. The climb (with the cross) helps you to tune in to this nice place. Over the years it has been gradually settled, but never in a destructive manner. Arriving on site, you see why Santa Rita used to gather in prayer right here ... Even the fall colors stand out the beauty. Unfortunately, as in all places of worship, the risks of meeting groups and faith (thankfully few) that rather than take advantage of this venue for a moment of Interior recollection, think rather cackled, no respect for others. Therefore recommend a visit outside the peak hours of the groups. The little shops of Roccaporena, at the foot of the rock, do not disturb the pleasantness of the place and, indeed, offer good local delicacies.
