  • Day of Easter Monday, I propose to my wife a last minute outing in this Villa, which had taken some information from the site. We arrive on site at one pass, free parking in the immediate vicinity (positive). We pay the entrance, we use the bathrooms clean enough saw the turnout. We went in the wing in which was set the bar with kitchen, catering service, given the late hour they did however sit in a beautiful room, we waited a few minutes before you get the waiters attention, but there was a lot of people. Instead of Easter menu, we opted for a plate of cold cuts and the sweet, the coffee we were offered by the Boss of caterers, total spending including the water €27. We walked around the villa, the park up to climb the Hill. We relaxed on the grass in front of the fountain in expectation of the free guided tour (positive) Look around everything was clean in good condition and well looked after, the Park was accessible in all its parts, amazing the fact that although many people used breakfast packs sold at the bar or brought from home there was the well that the slightest sign of junk , really wonderful. The guided tour of the villa lasted an hour, with clear explanations and answers to questions from visitors (positive). Accustomed to "Italian" low quality quite GOOD! A big BRAVO to the volunteers of the FAI.

  • A beautiful discovery, villa of the sixteenth century well maintained thanks to the Fai is worth visiting the Interior with its beautiful original frescoes other beautiful furniture donated some of the room of virtues and then the grounds outside leave you breathless. The cost is €8.50 toilet clean and there is a possibility of picnics, there is also a bar and restaurant. I recommend it for a relaxing day.

  • A magnificent site, the villa has remained virtually untouched since the construction and recent renovations have heightened the fascination and interest. Very well kept site, offering free parking and a restaurant (which we didn't use). Interesting locals humble, cellars, icebox and personal strengths, magnificent halls on the ground floor and the first floor. A magical and intriguing. A real little gem a few kilometers from Lake maggiore and Varese. To visit!

  • Very beautiful villa and garden. Go to see it!
  • Lovely villa with a beautiful garden. Well preserved. Within the original furniture from various periods. The small but spectacular garden. The management of the Fai leaves some doubt. I visited the villa on 27 May. On this day a sales exhibition of roses with entrance increased to 10 euros. Inside the park some interesting rose from Tuscany, the rest of the stalls with produce curious and unsuitable type: fruit from Spain, British plant greenhouses, a cornflower to 2 euros. I wonder if the Fai is promoting the Italian environment because it does not have local products on these occasions? A real shame in Italian "style".

  • Beautiful villa surrounded by a beautiful park. As all the villas of FAI, also Villa della Porta Bozzolo combines the natural beauty of parks and gardens with the architectural and cultural of a historic villa. In particular villa della Porta Bozzolo, has a series of outdoor terraces that are worth a visit. Interesting so even a guided tour inside the House to discover the works and history before "the door" and then the "Cocoon". Along the SS 394 there is ample free parking, very close to the highway, then the villa had a first court where the bookshop and a few room furnished with antique furniture that takes a little of the courtiers. After doing the ticket may be made by the turnstiles giving access to the side entrance of the villa. From here you can decide to visit before the secret garden, various terraces that are progressing towards a dense forest where you can admire the panoramic view of the Valley (it's a nice climb), or access to the Interior, so if you want you can also follow a guided tour. Inside the villa, there are also external works and not of the place, but the real flaw, in my opinion, is that villa and Park close at 18 also in the summer when instead you could enjoy even for a few hours especially outside.

  • The tours are full and comprehensive. Turn the villa freely is equally rewarding for the beauty and the villa and the Park. There is also some game for children.

  • Nothing out of the ordinary. The promotion campaign of the FAI by the way is quite excessive: the villa is an ordinary old villa, with a poorly managed, poorly cultivated garden. When I visited there were no children to make the guides, quite frustrating. There are plenty of competent graduates who would do the volunteers with much more professionalism. The absolute lack of selection of FAI is unspeakable. (Nice grounds, though)
