  • We were lucky to be there for a religious festivity and we enjoyed the community feeling there is in this town. Everyone knows each other and contributes in one way or another  more »
  • It is considered the most important city Church after the Cathedral of Sant'Evasio. Founded after the second half of the 1400 was completed in the early 1500. The Church was built entirely in Gothic style, while the façade, there is a doorway in the Renaissance style by Lombard craftsmen. The Interior is divided into three naves with tall columns supporting groin vaults. Very interesting sixteenth fonts present in the lobby. To the left of the main altar we could appreciate the beautiful painting of the coronation of the Virgin by Guglielmo Caccia called il Moncalvo and not to be missed, a visit to the adjacent cloister. Don't let Casale without having seen this church!

  • Returning to piazza San Domenico I confirm that you are in front of a church that is second only to the Cathedral to begin its Renaissance portal, then each Chapel is adorned with frontals appearing on all art books and valuable paintings; reporting for in the right aisle of the painting "Madonna delle Grazie", with the child who bears the marks of the plagues of the world, picture taken by Anna d'alencon from France on which long focused recently anamopatologa Cristina Cattaneo; framework that figure-we can anticipate-in a chapter of Anna that kept the young Wizard ', by Maura Maffei, historical novel at the outlet of the Turin book fair. Beside the great Dominican complex (revenue even in the cloister) here is a precious Baroque building: the former Church of mercy that we report to paintings and stucco. It's a cultural container municipality, at the time of this writing is hosting the exhibition Women in art of the Ravasenga Circle, view open until 12 March. It is an occasion for a visit.
