  • A small church in the Centre of Carrara but has in so much art and so much history. Go and see why it surely deserves and if you find someone who tells you something of the church you will be seduced

  • In the few churches like this I had the perception that artists/crafters put their spirit, along with their unmatched skills in creating their works; visit made me travel through time, leaving me a great, magical peace. Reflect the presence, on a building overlooking piazza Duomo, a plaque in memory of Giordano Bruno, crafted by local anarchists to mark the anniversary of his death.

  • Passing on the highway I made entice from the sign that advertises the Cathedral-follow directions and leave the car (I haven't seen ' blue lines ' ... here it seems easy to Park) I started in the streets of a town from the usual setting in this area: ' playground with fountain and statues of benefactors of the city roads and streets with old houses and some nice Palace , wrought iron and stone animals, large rectangular square without Church (Ghibellines?)-look airy from the bridge's tears ' [Monet painted the one glimpse of here! ... Oh dear: the inscription is a forgery ... tourist marketing idea for which have also given an artistic Prize! SHAME!] and resume the climb the narrow road with clothes hanging over your head and a few ' for sale ' in the Windows-a slice of white stone stands up there among the gray walls of houses ... intriguing, like a lady showing her shoulder with the bra strap dropped ...-high elegant laced columns lighten the square around the marble, woos trina rose ornate bezel, draws attention and bottom shadows falling arches enliven the façade that is white and grey striped (Guelphs or Ghibellines ... I can't remember ... but the road is called ' Ghibellena ' ...)-it requires almost behind the houses and the morning sun struggled to caress the spirals of stones ... but kiss the perfect notes of a soft flowing body in a mostly deserted square ...-the Interior is austere in the totality of the gray speckled to walls and basin-the frescoes are rare and really is, but there are many small partial goodies to discover (paintings, carved balustrades, ' alive ' sculptures, etc.)-I had the great fortune of entering it as a ' teacher ' was playing the organ ... really fantastic-the music didn't seem ' da chiesa ' and fingers they bullied the keyboards without generating those ' cleavage ' who happen to feel it with newbies-atmosphere truly unforgettable!
