  • Part of Matilde's routes, less famous for beauty of Canossa and Rossena, but for historical importance, would go first. Frequented by Matilde, Pope Gregory VII took refuge there to defend against Henry IV, we say that history has none. Left very little to see, but with a breathtaking panorama, small climb to get there, Pilgrim's path, not to mention the Church of s. Andrea. The ruins seem set wisely in my view makes because of its importance, its strategic position, its beauty at 360°. Better to take information about the castle on their own, impressive in any season. Parking, small at the foot of the Castle. At the top there is also a restaurant with views of the Castle, during the week it is open by appointment only. Friday, Saturday and Sunday it is open. Best to call in all cases. Animals can roam without problems and enjoy the crisp air, the disabled are unable for "historical" reasons.

  • Castle from the time of Matilda who at this castle they say quite often although dwelt the most famous are those of Rossena e di Canossa. This castle has a very significant historical value, but less known and visited the other. The area is particularly beautiful and if you want to walk from the village you can get easily to the Summit without much effort also provided advice to whoever got the leg. Definently snow board including to walk away from the Centre of Carpineti, because coming up towards the castle in slow walk you can see very well the scenery from the top are great as well. The Castle created over a rock is amazing even as photo postcard at various points along the way. Is the one that goes to the country's other leading away. In short, a beautiful monument, is certainly worth a visit, even if you realize it's almost semi abandoned. In summer the times are not always clear and sometimes also happens to find it closed when it should be open, visits are not always up to par. Space and avvenienti around the little Chateau and badly exploited. I mean for what you see should be a major area tourist point and instead sometimes seems to be left to his fate.
