  • The great mine of Serbariu is a small trip through time, halfway between a visit to a Museum and one on a movie set fantantascienza. In fact, in addition to being able to see and learn about the epic of an economic activity which gave rise to an entire city from scratch, channelling to Carbonia people from every part of Italy, you can forward in tunnels, and between spaces, the smells and the Dim light, revived living and working conditions that literally catapult into another world as you would in a film. Tools, materials and machines are amazing, and the world of toil and hardship of the people who worked it can touch and feel on the skin. Good and helpful guidance, and absolutely deserved the ticket price.

  • Small traveled back in time. Carbonia came first under the ground and slowly over to visit

  • We went to the Museum and have found very interesting the leadership. It was very impressive. I found only pity that for Femdsprachige gave no translator (headphones, etc.). We were Italian and thus was not a problem for us.

  • It's incredible how much history there is in this city! They offer a guided tour into the mines suitable also for kids. You can feel in your skin the history of the people that worked here years ago. The staff is well prepared and extremely professional.
  • Very impressive and our kids liked it as well. We recommend to take the guided tour into the mine which gives you a great insight into the hard life of the coal workers. Good for a stay of 2-3 hours and family friendly.
  • Fantastic indeed! Good experience and all well maintained:> A blast from the past, thanks to visit underground mine galleries ... Expert guidance and good but some political party because you could tell he didn't appreciate that created by Mussolini: like it or not "out of nowhere" has managed to create a country, a city with hundreds of homes and many jobs (about 18,000 in the first year alone) with a whopping 50. 000 inhabitants!! Still many Carboniensi still live in the houses created by Mussolini.

  • Visiting the Museum and galleries is a must for anyone who wants to attempt a journey to discover the work and life of miners and into an exciting adventure in the subsoil to Carbonia. Unique experience to share with friends and family, along with lunch at the nearby trattoria (I personally recommend the Lantern) and afternoon visit to the adjacent PAS Museum of paleontology for a day to remember.

  • A very interesting visit, to do at least once. Get off just on the first floor of the old mine tells a piece of history. All very well maintained, the guide very prepared and available. Really very happy about everything.
