  • On a Sunday in November to those arriving after a public holiday (November 1) is waiting to brief the Christmas season we improvise a visit to this castle, and Castle!. Really well maintained is rich in historical content interesting narrated through the ages of those who lived Through the FAI, it was also possible to revisit with the guidance that is well represented in costume of the time with Piedmontese accent is marked with the "spirit" of the place, the peak of Castello.Si was clearly an event organized and periodic, so we were also lucky enough to have lived in this way. This is a castle that is really well preserved and which is well worth a visit, preferably with an event for better living his spirit is his story. Easy to reach by car as well connected by roads coming from the big cities. Not to be missed!

  • In months of Oktober in a wonderful day, we visited the masino Castle owned by FAI, beautiful and well preserved, rich history of VALPERGA, the guided tour lasts about an hour but truly deserves to be made, we were lucky that on Friday they had set up a large nercato very beautiful flowers and interesting plants crafts, had lunch out with great mushrooms with polenta.

  • Taking advantage of the opening of 31 October, we go to visit this castle real del Fai. Is located a few kilometers from the exit from the motorway, the road to get there is well signposted, not so much the placard for parking ... We left the car near the cemetery, and then walked for ten minutes to arrive at the entrance of the Castle. Children are given a map to use for the treasure hunt, and the exit will receive a small gift. Our guided tour starts at 11, so we took the opportunity to visit the Museum of carriages: very interesting, and the kids were allowed to climb up two carriages. Our guide Fai (Mrs. Ginny) proved to be very prepared, enthusiastic, helpful and patient with the many children present. We stayed on a visit by 45 minutes, really interesting, winding through perfectly preserved rooms, furnished with period furniture and painted beautifully. From the terrace you have a magnificent view on the hills. Recommend a walk toward the maze, the tree-lined avenue has the beautiful autumn colors, then there is a nice wooden playground. For those who want, there is a coffee shop that also serves some pasta, wraps, sandwiches and slice of pizza, at normal prices (€ 6, € 5, 4.5); otherwise you can opt to bring from home a sandwich and eat it on the terrace if the weather permits. I saw that there are many events held at the Castle until the end of the year, are still visible on the website. I absolutely recommend a visit to this amazing gem of Fai!

  • Very unfriendly staff. We paid € 18.00 for entrance the park. The castle was allready closed. Our Grandmother, my pregnant wife, our daughter 1,5 years old and me. After 30 Minutes the housekeeper lockt in our babycart and we had to carry it ontop of a big stairway. He also closed the gate of the parking, so i had to climb the wall over 4 meters to reach our car. He was waiting us at the main gate for laughing about us. We cannot recomend this destination. Dont spend your money for the salary of this unfriendly housekeeper. We would give zero stars if possible.
  •  Masino Castle, in Caravino, for ten centuries was the main residence of the contiValperga di Masino. Until Rinascimentovenne defended by high walls and imposing watchtowers, then torn down to make way for monumental and beautiful gardens of romantic and aristocratic features typical of Italy. The whole building is covered with frescoes, refined workmanship and home of a Museum of 18th-century carriages really stunning. At present the castle is managed by the Italian Environment Fund and is inserted into the circuit of the Canavese castles

  • Masino Castle of the counts of Valperga. Owned and under management of the FAI who is managing and keeping safely, carrying out major renovations. 250 rooms on 7 floors, we could visit only a dozen. The poet's Room is beautiful, the Ballroom, and various other rooms. Deserves it, he deserves it, he deserves it. You can enjoy a great view.
