  • Along the long stairway of "Pizzolungo"-or by descending from the Belvedere of Tragara-you arrive at Villa Malaparte: what a thrill to see it up close! Is iconic, beautiful, solitary stands against the horizon, with the gulls only friends to keep her company. Pity not to see you but from what I read there is still a legal dispute between the heirs and the Chinese Government (owner of the legacy of the writer).

  • The villa is located in the eastern part of the island among the rocky promontory of Punta Massullo, not far from Pizzolungo and stacks. Rationalist style in the late 1940s, the controversial and eclectic writer of the Fascist period called "Casa come me": the initial project was the architect, but was turned upside down by the same owner. It is a form of parallelepiped Pompeian red: most of the building is covered by a large terrace where there is a rounded white screen; the ground side a stairway, which gradually increases, which leads to the terrace. To complete the wonderful work, the graceful, carved into the rock, leading to the sea. Although it is not open to the Interior, it is not difficult to imagine the beauty of the landscape that can be enjoyed from the villa. However, it is best to see it from Earth.

  • View from the villa, but absolutely natural Arch otherwise we can borrow the Pizzolungo uphill and through this will be extremely "sports"

  • villa malaparte is just one truly amazing part of this world class site along the bottom of capri. starting at the intersection of via arco naturale and the ristorante le grottelle, the via del pizzolungo (the pizzolungo path) parallels the southern coast of the island, high on the cliffs, affording amazing views, natural sites such as an unmarked ancient cave, the spectacular malaparte and the faraglioni rock formation. start at the restaurant and descend the countless steep steps to enjoy one unforgettable view after another. if you really want to feel the burn, start at the western end of pizzolungo and end by going up the steps, finishing for a final well-deserved cool drink at le grottelle! a prerequisite viewing of Jean Luc Godard's film masterpiece "Contempt (Le Mepris)" is a must!
  • So beautifully featured in Jean-Luc Godard's epic film Contempt!
  • One of the most beautiful architecture in the world, still relevant and beautifully integrated in the context of the island. Defined by the specialized press the most representative architecture of the 20th century. A must though unfortunately kept bad and not explored inside

  • I had read no guides when I went for a walk on this side of the island. Arriving from the West discovered this large building below of the way arriving at the top of a small staircase and the view is amazing. A must see. However I did find the way to access and see her closer.

  • The Pizzolungo tour with a visit to the Grotta di Matermania, the Villa Curzio Malaparte (skin, the most famous work) until you reach the Belvedere di Tragara is an essential stop for walkers. It is preferable to start from the square and arrive at Matermania first to the viewpoint of Dentecale dedicated to the violinist Paul Falco and then go to the natural arch and then taken round the Pizzolungo. Time travel for the entire itinerary around 2 ... hours
