I Faraglioni, Capri
Categories: Geologic Formations, Nature & Parks, Landmarks, Tourist Spots
Just off the coast of Capri, I Faraglioni is one of Italy's most striking geological formations. The tallest of this chain of sea stacks, known as Stella, rises 109 m (357.6 ft) above the ocean. Over millions of years, the wind and surf have sculpted these figures out of solid rock. For a closer look, take one of the boat tours launched from Capri. Some of the boats pass under one formation's archway. You also can find views of the stacks rom high points around the city, including from the Gardens of Augustus. Plan your visit to I Faraglioni and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Capri vacation route planner.
