Trip Planner: Europe / Italy / Campania / Province of Naples / Island of Capri / Capri / Belvedere Cannone
Surreal turquoise lagoons, steep cliffs, and an uninterrupted view of the ocean unfolds at Belvedere Cannone. Named after a strategic canon placed on the plateau in 1808, the area enjoyed popularity among artists, who would set up an easel and paint the scenery. From this vantage point you can see the stately rocks rising out of the water, a monastery, gardens, a grotto, and an important prehistoric station. Though the journey up to the vantage point isn't long, proper hiking shoes may come in handy. To visit Belvedere Cannone and other attractions in Capri, use our Capri route app.

We stayed in La Tosca and I walked up. I'm a senior and it's a bit steep but I took it easy and enjoyed the effort and ... wow, what a view when you reach the top!!!

One of the most amazing viewpoints on Capri, which is not hard to reach. It's paradise for the eyes, very wide panoramic view, definitely recommend to visit.

Super nice view! It took me around one hour to climb from the port. (Under the heat + a lot of relaxing moments) Normally I would say it takes 30-35 mins for relaxing walking to arrive. You could follow google until you reach to streets up to the village center. From there you could instead just follow the arrow signs on the wall. There is no other shops on the way apart from those in city center. But you have shadows in more than half of the roads.
Beautiful walk with a stunning view as the reward. A must see on Capri. Couldn’t believe my own eyes! We even had the entire place to ourselves, even though the island was flooded with people. 11/10.
it’s a hike but so worth it, views almost as good as atop the chair lift but for free
A really nice viewpoint. Well worth the walk getting to it.
Solid view without a lot of tourists. Fairly easy hike from Capri, definitely worth it!
