Valle della Luna, Capo Testa

At Valle della Luna, enjoy a relaxing walk through the sea-shaped valley, dotted with patches of green and scattered boulders in an inspiring landscape. Although modestly sized--only 500 m (1,640 ft) in length--the valley offers some excellent photo opportunities, as well as a hidden getaway for a pleasant walk. Climb to the top of the small lighthouse on site to observe the coast, the sea and, if your timing is right, the mesmerizing sunset. • Not popped up on the totem pole. Also it is worth to see it from above. Gorgeous and unique! Free parking on the street, just be patient and it's packed with people coming and going just for a photo. Recommended!

  • I read the reviews and wonder how it is possible to write them ... we decide to go visiting the Valley of the Moon inspired both by the lovely name from history that brings with it. To get first Council flat shoes takes about 15/20 mins where one must go through the rocks. With the desire to visit the walk to go down it's not heavy thinking to arrive and find a community of Hippies and admire the lifestyle they have chosen ... but unfortunately, drove down are just a bunch of junkies who with hippies have nothing to do absolutely nothing. Definitely not a place to go with children. And even as an adult, see how the boys decide to throw away their lives in alcohol & drug puts an infinite sadness redeeming factor of the place the totem really very nice where you can feel the spirit of those who many years ago he decided to live there. The Valley itself naturisticamente nice but nothing great in Sardinia you can admire several similar coves. The smells that you breathe is hardly smell of sea and nature but of urine and excreta dirt data even by the fact that people who live there don't care much hygiene. You go back with the knowledge that the magic that had to have that place has been lost.

  • If you go by the area of Capo testa, required some sneakers and let the path of half an hour between rocks that reaches the Valley of the moon. The place is beautiful and the jipilongo environment gives you a special light. Everything there is freedom and good vibes. We caught the sea a little stirred by the waves but this gave him more bravura to the landscape. I go in sneakers or sandals and not in flip-flops and emphasize that we saw quite a few slips between the stones.

  • This area is bigger than it looks on the map. You can easily spend an entire day hiking and climbing around the many hills and rocks
  • Fantastic sceneries!
  • A valley which flows into the sea enclosed by granite peaks still inhabited by a hippie community
