  • The National Museum of prehistory, housed in an old building (Villa Agostani) in Capo di Ponte, integrates and collects images, documents, and artifacts witness to the great wealth of this heritage of Valle Camonica. The tour starts from ground floor displaying numerous stelae and rocks-decorated copper age menhirs (4th-3rd millennium BC), while the second floor is hosted both the material devoted to "the first Peopling of the Valley in the Paleolithic and Mesolithic" with hut of the Upper Paleolithic (over 13,000 years ago), that many other finds of great interest (burials , writing, miscellaneous items and utensils). A small museum, but rich in material and well groomed: I would say a visitor almost obligatory and complementary to that of the Park of Naquane stone carvings and other prehistoric sites in the area!

  • beautiful Museum, well structured. You can also use touch screens to better understand the various menhirs. After visiting the museum related is nice to go and see the Archaeological Park of massi di cemmo besides the Park of naquane. a visit for everyone to spend a nice day different than usual.

  • Small but interesting museum dedicated primarily to petroglyphs in the area (first Unesco site in Italy, from 1979 ...) but also to other prehistoric and Protohistoric settlements in Val Camonica. Unobtrusive staging, in a recently renovated very nicely. Ground floor dedicated to engravings and the stele of Cemmo and of other sites in Val Camonica, second floor dedicated to artifacts found in various settlements in the Valley, from Darfo Boario Terme/Temù. The only flaw, perhaps, the limited explanations on the content and meaning of the engravings on boulders on the ground floor; second floor nicely described. Friendliest staff. Shared ticket with the nearby park of Naquane stone carvings.
