  • The Lucus Feroniae is an extraordinary archaeological site near Rome A1 motorway or the SP15 Tiberina in the locality of Capena. The site is a delight and the Museum with multimedia images projects us into an ancient past where it seems to relive the glories and the magic of the goddess Feronia. The staff of the GAR (Gruppo Archeologico Romano) is always ready to guide your visitors past the splendours of the baths and the amphitheater that hosts concerts for two years in a suggestive atmosphere. Admission to the Museum is free and without any reservation. A spell that stretches out his hand to lead us in the wonder of thousands of years ago.

  • Beautiful archaeological site on the outskirts of Rome (Fiano Romano exit of the A1) with an antiquarium remarkable for richness and beauty of the exhibits and how it was set up the tour. Spectacular and perhaps only the large fragment of stained glass and worked on both sides with two different techniques: never seen anything like it. Beautiful even the remains of the city with some beautiful mosaic floors. Too bad not being able to visit the villa dei Volusi, connected with a non-compliant and therefore precluded bridge. We hope to open soon. Everything is free and even which I can't view the chronic lack of funds that often prevents the care and enjoyment of our beautiful, artistic and archaeological heritage. Anyway this site is worth and it is crazy that is so little known. Go for it.

  • Good find the archeological site and the antiquarium of Lucus Feroniae! Half an hour drive from Rome, exit at Fiano Romano and in a few minutes you are already at the entrance of the site. Visit the antiquarian Board so as to best prepare for the visit of the town thanks to the many informational panels and great videos. Some of the exhibits present then are really beautiful, first on all the base finely decorated with bas-reliefs of the ludi of a mausoleum belonged to a curator of the gladiatorial games. The archaeological area never fails to surprise again. Many marbles are left on site and also some mosaics, excellently preserved. Is a Roman town different from the usual, the distinctive features and fascinating history. Congratulations also to the staff of the site. Courteous, knowledgeable and really cool! Thanks for the great experience! The only flaw is that the villa was closed, hopefully not for long.

  • Put back in order and reopened to the public. Nice to visit. Well run, Museum area with many exhibits and well exposed, archaeological area only. Worth a visit along with the nearby villa of Volusii which requires reservation
