  • In the countryside of Lucca you can admire some of the most beautiful historic villas Toscana.La most were built during the 15th century, the most important families of Lucca as summer residences and over the centuries have come to us keeping intact all their charm. Among all these historical houses one of the most famous and admired is definitely Villa Torrigiani, Camigliano, in the municipality of Capannori. It has a magnificent Baroque façade downstream, one of a kind, with its wonderful colours data by the use of different materials such as yellow at the top of the building, floor coating grey stone alternating with yellow Tuff and white marble statues. The Interior rooms are filled with decorations to which you added the statues on the terraces, which help to leave the visitor speechless for the overall effect given to every detail. Indoors, furnishings are original collections and paintings. Also the Interior is characterized by an elliptical staircase and a private theater which is located in the attic. But the most important part is composed of the garden, which surely contributes to making this House even more beautiful. Both the Park and the villa manage to carry those lies in a magical world, while changes made by every age can merge perfectly, going to create something unique that leaves visitors stunned. We were there with friends who live nearby. I thought their villa was fabulous, but after seeing this! ...

  • The tour guide was excellent providing history of the house, family, and Lucca in general. Combine with visits to other villas nearby
  • We went to visit the villa and its Park and I must say it was even better than I had imagined. It is true that the full ticket costs 12 € but as they say the excitement is priceless ... You only visit the ground floor because the rest is private dwelling but are still several rooms fully furnished, frescoed and with splendid furnishings the guide was comprehensive and helpful hosts and also formed small groups by nationality so you don't have to feel like repeating the same things in multiple languages. And then what about the garden. A sight for sore eyes which, although now in autumn, it was still full of blooms (which I can only imagine what it will be in the spring) is open all days from November to March 10 to 18 dslle but I think open by appointment only so before you go is better inquire HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

  • Beautiful but not well kept...The norm in Italy. These are all treasures that are undervalued and run in a very sketchy way.
  • Nice walk in the garden and friendly english speaking staff. However, considering the disfunctional state of some parts, the 7€ admission is to expensive.
  • a real jewel of Renaissance architecture blends nicely with the small village where.
  • Definitely one of the most beautiful villas in Lucca area. The grounds are very large and well maintained with some statues and fountains. Inside you can visit only 7 rooms, but be careful, it is not permitted to take photographs. Admission fee a little expensive for my taste.
