  • navigating through the channels of the hinterland caorlotto, as in memories of Hemingway, in a rarefied atmosphere and almost unreal, marred only by the flight of birds nesting, occasionally the reeds appears some "casone", old huts of wood with large thatched roofs, refurbished and used most frequently for dinners with friends (or not). To see during the day but also at night, for some nice meal of freshly caught fish.

  • It's really interesting travelling through this area of Caorle, where the old Carey, witnesses of the ancient work as a fisherman. Interesting ICT-tourism projects that affect them.

  • I had the pleasure of being invited to lunch at one of casoni Caorle riviera ... a new experience and brings to life what were the traditions of the old fishermen. I casoni are structures that resemble the wooden huts, very high and with a sloping roof. The ambient temperature is low, inside a fire burns in the Center and the smell of smoke characterizes the environment although a top opening allows the leaking. Everything is rustic and poor, the kitchen, the benches, the décor, but the feeling of being in this dark and intimate cabin gives a sense of the sacred and ancient. I casoni also lie just a few steps from the sea and the view of the seagulls and the passing boats donates a lot of serenity. I recommend the experience especially for those who like to revive the ancient traditions and those who like to see something you never saw, like me! I casoni you can walk, maybe during a nice walk or by car, given the remoteness from the Centre of Caorle. A consiglio....no elegant clothes, the rustic and poor is also dusty!
