  • The Roman bridge is a precious testimony of architectural and engineering capabilities of the Romans. Should be safeguarded and you should ensure a greater care and cleaning. Lately the FAI has recommended this site for its annual day. Might be a good starting point for the reconsideration of a unique website

  • watching from all possible perspectives the structure and its daring architecture, get over lingering to watch the course of Ofanto and the surrounding landscape, suggests that our ancestors were not only good architects but also sensitive naturalists (as opposed to many modern technical). One consideration: the Roman bridge in question has stood for over 22 centuries to several earthquakes and innumerable floods that have damaged beyond all parallel bridges built in later times. We recommend that you bring a good camera for preserving images of that wonder of the past

  • A suggestive place in contact with nature is able to revive the glorious history of Canne della Battaglia and Canosa

  • An imposing structure in humpback well preserved over time. The Roman bridge over the river Ofanto, situated on the Via Traiana, long forgotten, it is now followed by a group of volunteers of the Association, who are dedicated to enhance the important work to hand it on to future generations in all its glory!

  • Located on the via Franchigena, is a behemoth that stands for millions of years, how can we not thank him with a visit? Unfortunately the waters of the river Ofanto are not very clear, but I think it's part of the scenario. Highly recommended

  • Wonderful. The Superintendent, or who for them, should treat him properly though. 2000 years of history there that I still speak ... 5 stars because the degradation that has abandoned it's not her fault.
