  • Interesting visit with a very funny and addictive! Maybe you want to specify that the guided tour starts at a specific time, luckily I decided to climb at the opening and not after half an hour from the opening time written on the site

  • Taufers Castle is one of the best known of the Südtirol by founded two stereotypes: their appearance is typical of what we expect of a castle from the middle ages and the stage where it is located (especially in winter) is the typical postcard leaving everyone speechless. It should cross all the village and exit at the "Super Strada 621" carrying the Aurino torrent to our left and about 500 m. from the village, turn right 180 ° by a narrow path (care: is double meaning) dizzyingly climbing the mountain. Above the parking is difficult (there is little room), so there are whom he prefers to climb from the village (by a very "Tyrolean" covered bridge), although in one more than respectable rise. Closes to the noon by what should be see in your web them schedules of opening and of step them varied rates of access, although it normal is acquire the "double" that gives right to go a third part "by free" and the rest (it more important and care), through visit guided in Italian, German or English (according to schedule). Here a subsection for them viewers Spanish: according to is appreciates in the photo, our friendly and scholar Guide by the interior of the castle was the "brother twin" of the actor Mariano Peña ("Mauricio Colmenero" of the "Bar Reinolds" of the series "Aida"), who, taking advantage of that only were 3 adults and a girl, us made enjoy with numerous stories and anecdotes on this magnificent Fortress (even with any expression in Castilian) What is welcome). But joking aside and returning to the Castle, saying that rose in the S 12th, and which at present is so well preserved by the works of the "Südtiroler Burgeninstitut" Foundation. If the Tower (visit free) seems something abandoned (there is a cuirosa exhibition photographic on the great war of the 14-19), once entered to the inside of them ornate Chambers will discover them riches that this fortification houses (not are allowed photographs except in some points to the home of the visit). In addition, only the views of the Valley from any of its windows already deserve the climb up here. If we complement the visit to the castle with that of nearby waterfalls of Riva and the own people (small but very picturesque), we will have a very full day excursion. Visit highly recommended.

  • Yesterday afternoon, always starting from San Candido after about 1 hour we arrived at Taufers Castle. We had to wait 16 hours because there was already a visit and the door was closed. Then finally was opened and we walked we did the child tickets 3 € while we who are pensioners 5 €. Miss after making all tickets locked the door and started the visit. In each room there explained the origins and the various properties had for castello.non dwell to explain only one room of the Princess who fell in love with a farmer and the day they decided to get married were in the Woods and the farmer was killed by a poisoned arrow. Then the Princess locked himself in his room for 7 years then committed suicide by jumping from the window of his room. Our guide said that every day at midnight in the room that was the Princess feels cry. They don't tell you anything because if you're out there you have to go and listen.

  • Beautiful views from a restored castle. Also part WW1 museum. Definitely worth the unguided tour. Guided tours offer more but was not in English.
  • It was interesting but had more potential
  • The castle can be reached by car or through the forest trail that leaves from the Centre of Campo Tures (20 minutes walk). The ticket price is 10 and 7 for students. The ticket price also includes a guide explaining the history of the Castle. Our guide was very good and very interesting tales, carina also the legend of the ghost. In general the castle is well preserved and the rooms have inside them still some of the original furniture. Great atmosphere, fantastic!

  • A must for anyone who goes from Campo Tures. Possible guided tour and admission fee. Also deserves a visit without a guide. Recommend the walking trail (easy) also lit up, starting from the bus parking in the village.
