  • The Scala Santa di Campli is certainly a very rich in spirituality. In a corner of the country, among the many beauties closed for earthquake damage that disrupted the Italy Centre in recent years, only attraction to not have closing Ordinances is this small hut composed of two stairways (one for up and one for down) separated by a wall. Going up the wooden staircase you can obtain an indulgence, planaria or partial depending on the day and time of year. Definitely an important place for Christianity, much more important than many other more noble. At the top of the ladder are preserved wooden Holy Cross scales where the Saviour was crucified on Mount Calvary. Beautiful frescoes. Perhaps little known, would deserve more prominence.
