  • For some time I wanted to make this visit and I must say I have no regrets! Being out of season, we weren't in many, so we could follow the great guide, which provided many and clear explanations. Fun visiting the mine with trenino! Shame we could not visit the Rocca, as subject to major restoration work. Recommended especially for the enjoyment and education of children.

  • There'd never been, mistaken, because it's an interesting tour. The Park, which is part of the Val di Cornia parks (Livorno), spread over an area of about 450 acres. The visit provides in particular for: the Museum of archaeology and minerals, the Temperino mine, the area of Pozzo Earle where are located the Museum of mining machinery and equipment for miners. It is also possible to visit by train of the Gallery Lanzi-Temperino, following the route of the minerals from the mines of Valle del Valle dei Lanzi Temperino for treatment facilities. Against the background of the ruins of medieval Valley Lanzi Rocca San Silvestro, representing the heart of the Park and of his visit.

  • The Archaeological Park is an attraction that combines entertainment, history and science in a single day. There are several types of visit but I recommend visiting completed which includes a first walk inside the mine and then go outside to walk until the train that leads to Rocca di San Silvestro and excavations. It is not a tour suitable for those who have difficulty walking but is perfect for kids and pets. I recommend a layered clothing and sunscreen.

  • Impossible to reserv by phone and if you don't go early in the morning it's always 2-3h of waiting for a visit not very funny...I totally agree wuth valentina gallotti, a big publicity for nothing interesting.
  • An interesting visit to discover the ancient mines of this area to be carried out safely in half a day (preferably in the morning). The walking tour to the mine is very informative. The guide was very clear, polite and prepared to provide even more information on the lives of the miners and the history of the place. You need to dress appropriately, closed shoes (preferably hiking shoes or rubber sole, no flip flops or slippers different because in some places the path into the mine the land can be a little slippery due to moisture) and a sweatshirt (even in summer the average temperature is about 15-18 degrees). Essential Pack of water bottles. To walk around in mine is certainly interesting and informative for children over 6-7 years, for children there is the ' journey ' with trenino yellow of miners (there is however a bit like traipsing off to reach it). Given the small size of the galleries and the light just enough (while traveling with the train at some point will remain in the dark for a few moments) is not a path for those who suffer from claustrophobia or uncomfortable indoors and cramped. The area has a convenient bar/refreshment with sandwiches, pizza, restaurant and a picnic area with tables and chairs equipped among the ruins of an ancient building in the shade of trees.

  • Disappointing experience for families with children as it is advertised for the train but you must book early in the morning to go when you don't know. .....In addition a piece is from a climb.
