  • From a Christian-Arab fortified farmhouse binzantino-Norman in Opatija. Place where man has left intact his connection with God. Where you can still be absorbed by prayer; from the "Rock" of the baptismal font, by the precious crucifix painted on wood, from the apse where the face of a wonderful, loving God Almighty, has inspired a siculo Botero d'altri tempi, and where you're greeted by frescoes, and a God blessing. Place still open for worship, where those who live in this Calatnissa you identify, and loves. Advise the visitor that there will go, use the opportunity even from an anthropological point of view, urging who keeps him today, to look at the goodies lovingly preserved by this fellow. Not to mention the opportunity to visit an interesting Archaeological Museum, just a few steps.

  • Is the most interesting monument of Caltanissetta, dating from the 11th century. a.d. after the reconquest of the Normans of the occupied territories by the Arabs. It's an Abbey that miraculously remained intact over time! Beautiful fresco depicting Christ Pantocrator! The Abbey is located on the outskirts of the city, accessible or with your own car or by public bus, and right next door is the Museum that deserves a visit for its interesting and rich relics!

  • The Abbey of Santo Spirito is located in a city on the outskirts of Caltanissetta poorly signposted, but worth looking into, especially if you visit the nearby archaeological museum. Place of worship already in Byzantine times, the Church was consecrated in 1153, and preserves the imprint his Commissioner conferred on it by the Norman Ruggiero. The site retains a special charm because it is a haven of peace compared to the congestion of the city and the Interior, well cared for and preserved, is particularly impressive.
