  • beautiful very scenic and quaint, great memories, going back for sure, but with older children because impractical with the stroller

  • This stairway represents one of the most beautiful places of Caltagirone. In my personal opinion, whoever is nearby must take these 142 steps, both going up and then going down!

  • Not for the stairs but for everything else; always Caltagirone is Christmas in eastern Sicily and personal stage sets for this period. Now, reluctantly, it is better to go to a nearby Mall to enjoy the Christmas spirit. Most important, the cribs illuminations closed or dismantled, cannot enter a church you're assaulted by representatives of various associations asking you phantom bids ... that squalor, seems to relive the birth of Fantozzi. I understand the crisis, but we have lost something they hardly recover. Apart from the artistic beauty of the city better to forget and look at old pictures.

  • Caltagirone is a country not so much alive, many activities are closed, half a day is hard to find a place to eat if you're not in the Center (which is pretty small). Wonderful staircase but other than that and the shops of ceramics there is little ...

  • It consists of a series of one hundred forty-two steps in lava stone decorated majolica tiles in 1953, in the typical colours of the ceramics of Caltagirone, between predominantly green, blue and yellow.

  • A historical scale and beautifully decorated with tiles depicting ancient medieval motifs and beyond. Magnificent and unmissable.

  • Unique staircase, decorated ceramics are quite spectacular and the result is particularly impressive

  • Very nice to look at. The highlight of the city, in addition to all of the ceramic.
