  • Unique in this stairway, where the beats of the steps are covered with ceramic tiles all different from 1950, was founded as a road, then realized it was too steep and turned into steps. On the sides you can see so many shops with ceramics features, especially the faces of mori. Stop in city deserves as unique beauty to see.

  • Outstanding ... Every ten steps are represented/interpreted a century of history of ceramics of Caltagirone. Spatially and great architectural genius, architecturally integrated into the fabric of the city as a style and size. Possibility of parking in the immediate vicinity, perhaps a bit too much, in fact it would be better if the immediate around (even to enhance it and give priority to pedestrians, citizens or tourists) became ZTL.

  • It is located in the middle of the town and it is definitely the main attraction of the city. Down the steps there are numerous pottery shops.

  • Caltagirone is a country not so much alive, many activities are closed, half a day is hard to find a place to eat if you're not in the Center (which is pretty small). Wonderful staircase but other than that and the shops of ceramics there is little ...

  • It consists of a series of one hundred forty-two steps in lava stone decorated majolica tiles in 1953, in the typical colours of the ceramics of Caltagirone, between predominantly green, blue and yellow.

  • A historical scale and beautifully decorated with tiles depicting ancient medieval motifs and beyond. Magnificent and unmissable.

  • Unique staircase, decorated ceramics are quite spectacular and the result is particularly impressive

  • Very nice to look at. The highlight of the city, in addition to all of the ceramic.
