  • This museum is located in a beautiful location, in the middle of the countryside, beneath the monti pisani, in a part of the premises of the monastery of Calci. The collections are numerous and comprehensive but also evolving, all nicely described by explanatory signs. Unique freshwater fish aquariums. And what about the fantastic gallery of cetaceans. Too bad that when we made the visit didn't work the radio guide. But it's really the trip possibly combining the Museum at the monastery. You can spend a lovely day exploring the nature and history of this beautiful place, Calci, Pisa.

  • Managed by the University of Pisa, the fare for the complete tour I found above, we saw the section on dinosaurs and the Aquarium. Maybe more suitable for those with children from 4 to 10 years.

  • A natural history museum among the most important in Italy! Constantly evolving. Exhibits and important stories of our past! Also interesting for kids! A masterpiece with the Chartreuse that is next door to visit in laplata
